Re: 2 questions about OLED per pixel illumination and max brightness in SDR and HDR modes.
1. Yes, OLED always do per-pixel illumination in all modes, this applies to all OLED's I've ever seen, including those OLEDs on phones and televisions by all brands. Did anybody strangely tell you otherwise? Nope, it's because my second question made me think that "maybe in SDR the pixels don't hav...

Question about the difference in 100% APL Max brightness between SDR and HDR modes in OLED monitors
I have two questions that I'd appreciate an answer for: Do OLED monitors have per pixel illumination in SDR mode? If no, then how can they achieve those deep blacks and high contrast in SDR mode? Why OLED monitors' max brightness is always higher in SDR than in HDR mode when both are at 100% APL (Di...

Are OLED monitors expected to reach 1000Hz before TN monitors do considering their fast response times?
Are OLED monitors expected to reach 1000Hz before TN monitors do considering their fast response times? What do you expect to happen in the next few years?

Re: LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE
Are the LG and Asus PG27AQDM monitors going to have the same level of brightness? I'm concerned because the LG seems to have a mediocre level of brightness for use in a well lit room.

I wish it had Nvidia Reflex Analyzer, it's nice when you want to make sure everything is running responsively.

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to move on from 1080p and focus on both 1440p and 4K high refresh rate monitors?
I was looking at the pixel count of 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolution monitors and noticed that the jump from 1080p to 1440p isn't as demanding as the jump from 1440p to 4K. So, why monitor/panel manufacturers don't just focus their R&D budget on achieving the highest refresh rate possible on 1440p an...

Re: eSports 1440p 360hz displays announced
The dual format 25" 1080p is amazing! I was hesitant between 1080p panels or a 1440p because some competitive games benefit more from higher frames and other benefit more from the higher resolution like Escape From Tarkov and PUBG, the higher resolution makes identifying enemies much easier in those...
