Re: Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
I have. What's odd is my current old monitors are fairly bright when you turn off Night Mode in Windows which I have set to 60. It makes the screen warm enough to comfortably use. When I do the same to newer monitors it doesn't provide any relief. I just ordered a colorimeter to check brightness an...

Re: Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
Have you tried matching the brightness of the newer monitors with your older monitors? A lot of newer monitors are extremely bright and even the minimum brightness level may be too bright. If it's too bright, your iris will have to contract significantly, causing eye strain. If you find that the mi...

Re: Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
Does anyone know of a non-OLED 32"-42" TV with a high refresh rate?
I notice I have no issues using the Samsung VA panel TV's in my house at a distance. Might just try a smaller TV as a monitor that isn't OLED since I've always been sensitive to those.

Re: Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
did you ever figure it out? I noticed this strain on my alienware TN, but not my laptop/ office TN monitors. Nope, still struggling. I'm going through a vision therapy program to see if it helps since my eye sight has no major issues outside of a slight astigmatism in both eyes which only makes ver...

Re: Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
So some bad news: I ended up returning the LG C2 42". It made my eyes feel exhausted and strained my eyes to the point I still felt it the next day. Usually that isn't the case with the eye strain/fatigue I got from other monitors. I honestly wanted to give it more time but I couldn't really adjust ...

Re: Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
I am not sure, but this is suggestive of a few possibilities to self-diagnose: - Sensitivity to display motion blur (use a strobe backlight); or - Sensitivity to antiglare filter that are on all of those LCD monitors you tried; or - Sensitivity to blue-phosphor-based LED backlights (e.g. white LEDs...

Eye strain issues with newer monitors(IPS/VA/TN)
Greetings! First of all I wanted to say thank you to the other users who have made posts and followed up regarding their own issues with monitor eye strain and discomfort. I did want to try to get advice with my own struggle, however, as I feel extremely frustrated being unable to find a new comfort...
