Generally due to the scaler you cannot overclock DP inputs on the monitor side, only via adapters from DP on your PC to DVI on the monitor side. So there is no point in pursuing that avenue. On your first issue.. prolly easiest to just get a proper DVI cable again?

I ditched AMD too (and the lack of HDMI 2.0 was a factor) but you can get DVI to DP adapters that will run around 100hz at 1440p. I got it to 62Hz.. lol. Two oddities worth mentioning: - If you move Front Porch, Sync width from defaults nothing appears at all in Windows as selectable other than stock Hz refresh. Not sure on the mechanism at play here. - The monitor has a setting for DisplayPort 1.2 hidden in its menu.. enablin...

Was running 3x 27" QNIX at 100Hz and decided to try out the new LG Ultrawide 34" Curve (LG 34UC97-S).
