Re: Xl2411z connection problem
Maybe I'm missing something, but how can this be physically possible? I mean, if the VGA output is only physically capable of sending out 60 frames per second at 1080p, then no converter will "force" this connector to somehow pull any more frames out of your laptop. Maybe there are converters that w...

Re: Xl2411z connection problem
But... if your laptop only has a VGA output, then it won't push 120Hz through it even if you have Dual-Link DVI on the other end of the cable.

Re: BenQ XL2420Z V1 unusable?
Thank you for the reply. To be honest, I don't really know if I'll be using it or not , but if it bring benefits , who wouldn't want to use it , right? I use it only for gaming. Whenever I work (most of any weekday), given that my work involves a lot of text typing, there's really no benefit for me...

Re: BenQ XL2420Z V1 unusable?
One question - do you want to use blur reduction (strobing) or not? If not, then there's really nothing wrong with it as the "issue" it has shows up once you enable blur reduction, then you'll see something like this: http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/xl2720z-strobe-crosstalk-des...

Re: benq xl2420z - how to get better settings ?
Wow, do you really have brightness set to 100? That's ... torture ;) The screen is so brutally bright that going 100 is blinding. Anyway, I've got the same screen, here are my settings: Mode = Standard Brightness = 0 Contrast = 10 Gamma 5 Red = 100 Green = 90 Blue = 65 Then in the Nvidia control pan...

Re: XL2420Z uneven brightness/contrast issue
Wow, their settings are crazy over the top blueish, but... different strokes for different folks ;) Have you tried ICC profiles? I am slightly frustrated with this panel.. its a great panel but I cant seem to get it right.. either my viewing angle sucks or my colors are off. I see that ASUS has a M...

Make sure to run it "as administrator".
@Falkentyne - out of curiosity, how exactly does one get into the service menu, especially of the BenQ XL2420Z?

Re: Is there a way to unlock/use ALL settings (BenQ XL2420Z)
Thanks a lot, I didn't know that at first and wondered how come the FPS mode be so horribly bad that I couldn't get yellow right without boosting red to the point where it's so over-the-top that even I didn't like it (and I tend to like having more reds than blues). Right now, I've already managed t...

Re: Is there a way to unlock/use ALL settings (BenQ XL2420Z)
Thanks Chief :) I was referring to 3D mode for the purpose of 3D. Maybe I would enjoy it more if I had the chance to manually set up the screen as I like. I can make some adjustments in Nvidia's control panel, though, but... it would have been better to be able to set it up in the monitor and then, ...

Re: BenQ XL2411Z PS4 Questions
The problem is that the PS4 will only send 60 frames per second to your screen which will then run in 1080p60 so... not that it's a bad choice by any means, but you won't really benefit from it being capable of running at 120Hz... via Dual-Link DVI or DisplayPort (which the PS4 doesn't have)
