Re: Hololens

I read somewhere that the Hololens display is DLP, like the Avegant Glyph, which is listed as 120 Hz.

That's probably the closest we're going to get until there are actual specs.

Re: Video with tracking camera shows lightboost in action

So it's not a pursuit camera, but if you have an iPhone 6 or 6+ with 240fps video recording, you can step through it and see each individual frame fade in and out.

I haven't tried it with a strobing screen, but it might be fast enough to give you a general idea of what's going on.

Re: Lightboost for an arcade cabinet screen

Thanks for the reply Falkentype I have already bought my monitor so I may be stuck with it for now. Mame 0.148 is right: http://www.blurbusters.com/software-based-black-frame-insertion-improves-motion-clarity-in-mame/ So I'll give tinted glass a pass and try and get something as clear as possible w...

Re: G Sync is only DRM

Does this make it more likely that we'll see combo G-Sync/Freesync screens, because they're probably similar internally? Or less likely, because simultaneous support for Freesync would violate Nvidia's terms?
