For CRT monitors, you should use CVT or GTF standard (padrão).

Re: IGPU’s and refresh rates
Ty, the motherboard I was looking at says it has HDMI 1.4, which your link says is 340mhz max pixel clock, I’d like to achieve atleast 1280 x 720 at 240hz, would this be too slow? 1280x720 @ 240 Hz is possible with HDMI 1.4, but I would think any motherboard that can take a 5700G should be able to ...

Re: IGPU’s and refresh rates
The maximum refresh rate depends on the resolution and the maximum data rate of the connection. Any GPU can do 640x480 @ 240 Hz. 1920x1080 @ 240 Hz would require HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2. 2560x1440 @ 240 Hz would require HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.3. I have a list of common pixel clock limits here...

Re: How windows calculate refresh rate?
The first detailed resolution in the EDID as shown in CRU is considered the preferred or native resolution. In the English version, I see "(native)" next to the resolution in the NVIDIA control panel and "(Recommended)" in the Windows display settings. Windows doesn't have a default or native refres...

Re: How windows calculate refresh rate?
I got another one, how the windows get what is default resolution of the monitor? Because on this 360hz alienware 2521h i got default 1920x1080 with 360hz, but on viewsonic xg2530 i have got default resolution 1920x1080 HD/TV (Idk right now, but was not clasic 1920x1080 like on 360) what got max 12...

Re: How windows calculate refresh rate?
Windows gets the refresh rates from the GPU's driver, and the GPU's driver gets the refresh rates from the monitor's EDID. Historically, Windows could only list refresh rates as integers, so 123.456 Hz would be listed as 123 Hz. Newer versions of Windows can list fractional refresh rates, but the GP...

Re: Display scaling and CRU
Just curious, where are “Established Resolutions” (on Cru) stored in Windows? Is there a way I can add/edit my own one in the same place as these? Established resolutions are a fixed list of resolutions specified by the EDID standard. You can't add more established resolutions. That's what detailed...

Re: CRU vertical total calculator for Quick Frame Transport (QFT)
You have it mixed up. The vertical total calculator already modifies the back porch. The front porch is what's severely limited. EDID limits the vertical front porch to 63, and CTA-861 extension blocks use the same format. DisplayID is what has higher limits. The front porch version would only be po...

Re: Display scaling and CRU
Yes, but it does it on other resolutions that don’t fit the 16:9 ratio, for example, 1024 x 768, I can set it to either 1024 x 768 with 60 hz, or 1024 x 720 with 75 hz, both of them show the scaling option on my monitor OSD by default, as soon as I set anything above it, like 240 hz, the option goe...

Re: Display scaling and CRU
It says Current Mode: 1280 x 720 240hz But the scaling option on the monitor is still greyed out That means display scaling is working on the GPU's end. Display scaling means the resolution is sent to the monitor. Is the resolution displayed full screen? If so, the monitor is scaling the resolution...
