...but I want enlightment from a gamer's perspective (wikipedia only mentions movies and tv in relation to interlacing)

Interlaced vs Progressive on a CRT display.

Hy, I have an IBM p275 and I'm experimenting with it.

My question is:

What are the pros and cons of using an interlaced signal as opposed to a progressive one, on a trinitron CRT like mine? (aside from the obvious lower bandwidth requirements, which enable higher frequencies)

What is LG's "DAS"? (Dynamic action synch)

I've read the marketing cr*p about it, "cutting input lag in half", but I've yet to come across an actual test done in a professional manner, which uncludes: input lag, crosstalk, ghosting and motion blur comparisons between this feature turned on and off on the "LG 24GM77" monitor.
