Re: ZOWIE XL2566K Discussion Thread [24.5" 360hz TN]
I'm heavily considering picking this one up. The only reason I wouldn't I suppose is because of potential competition with ASUS. However, as nice as 500Hz would be, I unfortunately doubt the ASUS's blur reduction capabilities or GtG would be up to par with this Zowie at that refresh rate, and phenom...

Re: How to decide between 1080p 360Hz and 1440p 240 Hz?
Which game(s) you play and can you reach 360 FPS? Two types: - the first is games like Squad, DCS, MSFS and ACC. None of them can reach 360fps and even 240fps is far fetch. - the second are games like CSGO, AC and BMS. They can reach high fps like 240fps and maybe 360fps. It really does seem to be ...

Re: How to decide between 1080p 360Hz and 1440p 240 Hz?
It really does seem to be a "pick your poison" sort of scenario, since there is no single monitor that is the be all end all. It is tough to make a good decision when you don't have hands on experience with different resolutions or refresh rates. But perhaps a few suggestions I would make would be: ...

Re: How to decide between 1080p 360Hz and 1440p 240 Hz?
Thanks again, it's very interesting. In Squad you play locked at 60fps with strobing if I get you right? How is the flickering in that situation? No problem, it is indeed. I do not play locked at 60fps. I always play at 120Hz strobed and aim for as much FPS as possible in competitive titles. But in...

Re: How to decide between 1080p 360Hz and 1440p 240 Hz?
I use the BenQ XL2720Z using the 1500VT tweaks @120Hz strobed, with the undocumented overdrive setting that I believe Falkentyne popularized. I installed the Blur Busters strobing utility to adjust the exact amount of crosstalk and persistence just as I like, and I've been EXTREMELY happy with it fo...

Re: How to decide between 1080p 360Hz and 1440p 240 Hz?
I have the same question too, as someone who primarily plays competitive Overwatch on a 1080p@120Hz strobed monitor, but also likes to indulge in other slower paced games like Squad, where higher resolution is key to seeing enemies clearly at range. I think the answer for me personally lies in getti...

Re: XL2720Z - How do I know if my VT Total tweaks are workin
Well, I still haven't solved the issue, however I did manage to get the VT total tweaks to work, but only with the Nvidia CP. I don't understand why they wouldn't work with TX's CRU, but at least it works now. The improvement in crosstalk is PHENOMENAL. But quick question. Does this tweak increase i...

Yeah I've definitely rebooted. This doesn't make any sense really... I must be doing something wrong.
I wish I could try testing w/ HDMI, but my computer case protrudes over the hdmi output on my graphics card, physically blocking an HDMI cable from being connected.

Re: XL2720Z - How do I know if my VT Total tweaks are workin
Thanks for the quick response man! I checked OSD and it said 1920x1080@120Hz. I am going over DVI. I did try the pixel patcher. But maybe it didn't work? I am also on V005 Edit: Maybe I'm not correctly using CRU, but I swear I had the VT Total tweaks working earlier this year. I remember it saying 6...

XL2720Z - How do I know if my VT Total tweaks are working?
Hey guys, just not sure if my vertical total tweaks are working, and I don't know how to verify that. I have been playing around with my Strobe duty and Strobe Phase and noticed that my backlight does not turn off past 49 on the strobe-phase. Isn't it supposed to? I was trying to get as low input la...
