Re: Asus 240hz native new screen
I suspect that ULMB will look good only up to approximately 75%-85% of the monitor's maximum refresh rate, assuming 1ms TN. I'd guesstimate ULMB would look sufficiently clean up to 180Hz, then start to really get dramatically bad with strobe crosstalk as you approached the LCD's native refresh rate...

Re: Asus 240hz native new screen
...Has it been confirmed that ULMB will work at 200+ Hz with that monitor?
If so then I might upgrade from my XL2720Z one day... Probably when the price drops down to "affordable" levels.

TN monitor lifespan
My XL2720Z has 05300 hours of use time, according to service menu. How many hours can a TN monitor work, usually, before breaking down? I see that in the service menu it can't go past 99999 hours, so my guess is it will break down before 100k hours? xD

Re: Blur reduction and 240Hz monitors
I'm at 120Hz 1080p using the VT1500 tweaks. AMA Low, Contrast=19 Brightness=100 I've just readjusted in the service menu. Strobe Duty=009Strobe Phase=040 Single strobe=on Edit: Sorry to have gotten this so off-topic! Almost exactly the same settings as I'm using. I have strobe duty = 6 (I don't min...

Re: Blur reduction and 240Hz monitors
What "service menu" are you guys referring to? I don't see anything referring to strobe phase in the OSD. In XL2720Z you can enter service menu by doing this: 1) Press power button to power down your monitor. 2) Above the power button there are 5 buttons. Press and hold the 4th one (counting from t...

Re: [POLL] 24" or 27" gaming monitor with 2560x1440
Both will be popular, and the reason is simple: not all people have big enough desk for a 27", so obviously they will be interested in 24".

Re: [WIN A MONITOR]: Help bring 120Hz+ Monitors List up to d
Maybe you could add a new section called "upcoming monitors" or something? Another 240Hz incoming (4th one so far): http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/aoc-offers-ag251fz-with-240-hz-tn-panel.html [Chief Blur Buster: Upcoming monitors are valid submissions, if they have a full vendor page. I reached that conclusion too. The ufo was too fast for my eyes, I got dizzy and eventually stopped trying.Chief Blur Buster wrote:You will have difficulty once strobing is enabled, as speeds will be too fast to measure with human eye.
