Never mind i was actually able to change the settings even tho it told me i didn't have the right firmware. Thanks for the tip !!

Alright will use the driver rename trick thanks. I renamed my Zowie XL2411 to BenQ XL2411Z after disabling driver signature enforcement, but now it tells me i have firmware V1 when i'm running firmware V6, what to do?

The i2cdetect asks me to scan bus 0, but then doesn't find anything. This is with debian jessie...i'll download ubuntu 14.04 and see what happens (doing this because i read that proprietary amd drivers do not expose i2c bus)

I have the zowie XL2411 with V006 firmware, i could try to upload it here if someone is interested. (Need instructions to dump it though, got a debian VM running)

I have a zowie xl2411 with firmware V006 and same issue. When is the new version of strobe utility coming out ?
