Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync
I also tried RealNC's trick by adding a custom refresh rate with CRU and capping with the in-game limiter. Unfortunately I still feel input lag in Overwatch even after being very generous with the gap in refresh rates. I also noticed frametimes were very consistently spiking up and then slowly roll...

Tweaks can reduce lag if you know what you are doing.
But, yep, more often than not, they can make things worse.

Re: CSGO less threads[cores] less input lag?
In many cases, people have issues because they collect "tweaks" from all over the internet, usually from people who know nothing about the matter. They end up with dozens of autoexec commands and/or startup command line options that break the game. If you use no tweaks and leave everything as Valve...

Is there anything in nVidia Inspector worth changing?
I've been toying around with it, but can't find anything worth changing

Re: Creators Update Game Mode reduces input lag
I would have expected this to be caused by the new fullscreen presentation mode rather than game mode specifically. Unless games which are not on Microsoft's whitelist for the new presentation mode also see that reduction in latency? (screen will flash twice when you hit Win+G in FSE Mode) Is it wo...

Re: Creators Update Game Mode reduces input lag
Is it worth upgrading from Windows 7? I downgraded after 4 months of trying to reduce to the very least I could, but Windows 7 still came out on top after disabling all the worthless junk (looking at you Cortana).

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync
always played in fullscreen, no worries there
i just reverted back to whatever CRU had it set to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
when I said smoother, i meant in clarity (not reduced input lag)
if I turn off vsync, i set my frames back to 240

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync
If you're shopping for a new monitor, support the continued operation of Blur Busters via our Official List of Gaming Monitors . Thank you! :) You've tried both VSYNC ON/OFF at the new 120.008Hz refresh rate. I'm curious, does VSYNC OFF look smoother too? I have the acer monitor bookmarked with you...
