Re: OLED 240hz lg-27gr95qe-b and G-Sync Brightness Flicker
I will do a clean driver reinstall with DDU and see if it still persists Did that just now and the issue is "gone", as long as you're above 50Hz. I think the monitors VRR was from 48-240Hz, so if you get to close to the lowest range, it also flickers. If you get out of the range (below 50Hz), the r...

Re: OLED 240hz lg-27gr95qe-b and G-Sync Brightness Flicker
Hypothetically, any monitor can support basic software-level VRR operation, but unless there's more specific work done at the firmware, EDID and driver-level, said support will be very limited and prone to issues (various forms of flicker, screen blanking, lack of any or proper LFC, etc). All FreeS...

Re: OLED 240hz lg-27gr95qe-b and G-Sync Brightness Flicker
Sorry, but that's exactly what I said, at least I think I did so. If that didn't get through due to my wording, then so be it. You said, and I quote, "This monitor's G-Sync module, or rather VRR-module, feels like trash to me." So I took that as you meaning you thought it had a module, but if it do...

Re: OLED 240hz lg-27gr95qe-b and G-Sync Brightness Flicker
Is it only the monitor OSD meter reflecting this, or both it and the system-side average FPS readouts as well? Because if it's only the monitor meter, those are infamously unreliable, especially on FreeSync monitors in G-SYNC Compatible mode, where they include LFC multiples in their number, and do...

Re: OLED 240hz lg-27gr95qe-b and G-Sync Brightness Flicker
As I noted previously in this topic, with current-gen OLED, this form of flicker will happen during VRR operation whenever the frametime performance is sporadic enough. It's not directly framerate related. That's not the issue though. I've limited the framerate to 50, which I can sustain at my test...

Re: OLED 240hz lg-27gr95qe-b and G-Sync Brightness Flicker
I've got the same issue with the same monitor and it happens no matter the background. When you boot up Hogwarts Legacy, the first thing you see is "Preparing for shaders" with a black background. Which flickers already. Afterwards, it's in the game as well if your fps are low enough compared to you...

Re: Can't decide on new monitor
I got the ViewSonic because it doesn't look silly (I don't like my PC looking like a kid's Power Rangers toy :P) That's pretty much the reason why I asked for differences, it looks decent and not, in your words, "like a kid's Power Rangers toy". If I wanted the cheapest, I would have bought the AOC...

Re: Can't decide on new monitor
I have a similar monitor to the Acer (it's an XG2703-GS and has the same panel as the Acer.) There's no motion blur According to the review on https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/viewsonic-xg2703-gs/ the pictures for motion blur don't even look too bad without ULMB. May I ask what's the game you have t...

Can't decide on new monitor
Hello guys, first off all, as the title says, I'm looking for a new monitor for some reasons. Currently I own the Benq XL2411Z The reasons I want to switch are: - I want a higher resolution - a smoother image (on the Benq with Strobe Utility the picture is only smooth on slower movements, on faster ...
