Re: Effects of assymetric latency on online FPS.

giving a name to an issue is a good start, and you can't be 100% sure that emi is not involved , cpu & ram sticks , fans, motherboards generate emi the problem is it's too broad of a term IMO. The reality of online gaming is that server desync is always present to some degree, all of netcode is an ...

Re: Gaming PC's Are NOT properly grounded to the Case

the pc is not performing hit detection and iterp correctly in online games, or not properly sending movement due to some EMI or other electrical issue. I find this hard to believe but there's a lot of posts on this board with people having the same experience Never experienced any issue like that b...

Re: Effects of assymetric latency on online FPS.

In my opinion this is internet issue and providers doing some fishy stuff. Most likely routings from a server to client are very poor and what you see it a game trying to interpolate everything, that's why your enemies move irrationally fast. the problem with this is that I have a netgraph availabl...

Re: Effects of assymetric latency on online FPS.

same here with 7950x3D, bad hitreg in every online fps shooter, and this is most likely an internet issue, these symptoms belongs to something called "server Desync", when you shoot first you die first, you die behind cover, your character is slow and heavy and so easy to kill , and most annoying t...

Re: Effects of assymetric latency on online FPS.

Netcode in different games varies a lot. I'm not sure about Quake, but Overwatch's simply sucks. You can try disabling coalescing in driver settings. As well as disable RSS or bind it to a specific non 0 core. ^ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Ndis\Parameters (RssBaseCpu dword)...

Effects of assymetric latency on online FPS.

I play quake and overwatch and probably have thousands of hours in both games by now, my main symptoms in this game with regard to network latency is: hitreg - I can miss the enemy entirely and score hits, and vice versa, I can land exactly on their heads and get noregs in cases where it doesn't mak...

Re: Have anyone found that their solution to their EMI issue can be solved by heavily undervolting/underclocking ?

Does anyone have a link to a post that goes in more detail. The most I've seen is Spoidah post about it but I haven't seen anything new. Maybe no news means he solved his problem lol Not at all. Just a combination of being too busy to keep up with the forums and too disappointed that I haven't foun...

Re: Gaming PC's Are NOT properly grounded to the Case

- For Seasonic PSU, I don’t think the prime was actually good and shut down under transient spikes from larger cards, so you would probably need a Vertex to have a good Seasonic PSU. Those also ship with 14 AWG power cords and you can notice a difference between thicker cables like that for mouse m...

Re: Gaming PC's Are NOT properly grounded to the Case

For what it's worth for anyone reading this, I tried some/most of the steps outlined here on a fresh windows install and it did not solve my issue. detail: - new case with solid metal construction (no side panel) - new seasonic PSU, a good one - only the mouse and keyboard plugged in (i checked the ...
