Re: Benq xl2420z Windows 10 question
The firmware was posted in other threads multiple times. But here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AkQqWXPLNfg-gVFgbSqQ9RqLAZ2A If you have a legacy bios (not UEFI), you can flash with Linux (Ubuntu) with the flash instructions I explained carefully on page 21 of the Linux thread, but there is some risk if usi...

Re: Benq xl2420z Windows 10 question
Thanks for the reply. I have seen reference to V004 firmware relative to the 2411z, however I have been unable to find a link to the V004 firmware related to 2420Z? When I reviewed Benq downloads I was only finding refence to v2 firmware. Also where would we find instructions for process to upgrade ...

Benq xl2420z Windows 10 question
I have been reading that there is an access to scaling issue with the 2420z monitor whe. Used with Windows 10. Apparently there is a lack of scaling options and monitor may get stuck at 60hz. This would kind of make it useless and unable to,use its 144hz for gaming. Been trying to see if I could fin...

Re: Advice request 3 monitor setup
Thanks lexlazootin. I am assuming by your reply that there is no downside to mixing brands of monitors, although using the same brand would minimuimze potential issues?

Advice request 3 monitor setup
I have benq 2420z and want to create a 3 monitor system for sim racing gaming. 2420z appear to be no longer available. 2411z is still available. What do I need to know to put such a setup together? Any other considerations that need to be appreciated regarding video card and monitor inputs, outputs,...

What would be wrong with?
What would be wrong with pairing two BenQ 2411z with a 2420z centre monitor to make a triple? Just curious about thoughts regarding technical issues?

Re: BenQ XL2420G Release Info
Sounds like it is just as easy then to stick with 3x2420z, since to be honest 3 g-syncs just seems over the top on cost, especially if the promise of the Oculus Rift is realized. Beside you only need to see that cars are entering your peripheral vision, not their blur free details. Thanks for the ad...

Re: BenQ XL2420G Release Info
I keep wondering if for something like Rfactor2, one could use a single BenQ xl2420g g-sync with two xl2420z for a triple monitor setup? G-sync might be interesting for the centre screen, but because the side screen are really somewhat in peripheral vision, you might able to get away with non g-sync...

Re: BenQ XL2420G Release Info
I don't play console games and am primarily playing rfactor2. My current monitor is a Samsung 204b TN panel and I can't say I have ever really noticed any tearing or stuttering, but then I probably don't have the detail really cranked either. But I could have 2x 2420z for less than the price of one ...

Re: BenQ XL2420G Release Info
So far it looks like the xl2420g is nearly twice the price of the xl2420z. I continue to wonder if the xl2420g is really worth it?
