I was wondering which option is better for having the lowest input lag. I have a dual PC streaming setup.

Is cloning the display to the capture card the best solution for input lag/performance or installing OBS to the gaming PC and then using full screen projection to a capture card the best option?

By duplicating displays I mean COMPLETELY mirroring my whatever is going on monitor 1 to the other monitor. In my case I want to mirror a monitor 1440p@240hz to a capture card but at 1080p with 240hz. I see conflicting answers but it's because no one was clear on what exactly they were asking.
