yeah, its years late but its an effort to phase out 144hz non freesync monitors with adaptive sync ones...probably worse and more expensive while cutting out light boost all at the same time...marketing... though the cheapest 144hz monitor still costs way too much and if it costs more than the VG248...

the contrast and mbr support (motion blur reduction) would be nice, I heard somewhere not all g-sync ips have mbr...? Finally some good VA stuff, should make VA more popular like that really bad QC Foris VA did back in the day. shops refused to even stock it because of its returns/bad rep/QC... good...
