Re: Do any OLED TVs support interpolation-free BFI?
Haven't heard of any OLED TVs supporting greater than 60hz, even high end ones running at 1080p, so no BFI (yet). However OLEDs don't need to insert complete black frames so they don't need to run at 120hz internally. I think a better approach is a bellcurve anyway. Your best bet is wait for 2017 wh...

Re: PS4 at 120hz & benq monitor
If it uses frame interpolation to double the dps, it'll add latency or 1-2 extra frames at least. That's an extra 16-33 ms. BAD If it doesn't use frame interpolation, that means it's just playing back the same input frame twice in a row, which is pointless and would look virtually the same. Wait for...

Re: Vive & Rift - actual resolution & frame rate demands?
The main place that SLI or Crossfire would add latency in a VR scenario is if re-combining the left and right eyes into a single frame for compositing into the Oculus framework adds a lot of latency. So that depends I think on the sync time between GPUs, and can be optimised at the card level. What ...

Re: Vive & Rift - actual resolution & frame rate demands?
From what I understand having read some articles about LiquidVR and NVidia's work, is that the auto-SLI/X-F is currently implemented only in the high end cards and only on OpenGL. But that will surely change. I think if I do get an SLI setup that it will be a dual GPU card instead of two cards. That...

Re: Vive & Rift - actual resolution & frame rate demands?
One really good thing about VR is that SLI will become useful again, without any programmer effort (just tick a checkbox in the driver and it will split the work into two perspectives). AFR SLI is really complex work, I've implemented it in some big games and I'm glad it's going to be fully automate...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Good stuff. I'm interested in a larger size so that I don't have to get another one when a brighter projector than the Sony shows up. Plus, I already own a w1070 which I'd like to use at the same time, so it makes sense for me to use masking and/or my anamorphic lens on the Sony for some smaller scr...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
That's great, count me in on buying one. I live in a huge loft so I'll probably need a large size, like 138 inches. A discount will be a good thing. I'm a huge fan of raster laser projection tech and am just waiting on the Sony being available here in Canada so that I can hack the %!@# out of it :) ...
