Re: 4 kHz polling rate mice for high refresh rate monitors
Does chief have a way to talk to optimum? Maybe he could later revisit this and make a new video with better methodology.

Re: DLSS 3 Frame-Gen with G-Sync & FPS limiters
Certainly not a gimmick to me. I'm all about high frame rates for the visual aspect of it: - Increased fluidity - eye tracking motion blur reduction - reduction of the sizes of the stroboscopic steps (Most important aspect to me) I would like all my interaction with my screen to involve high frame r...

Re: DLSS3 interpolation two-cap approach ("latency guard" in-game cap + "stutter guard" external cap)
I still don't have a 4000 series to test DLSS3 FG (still hoping for prices to come down) but this is good info. So when native frame times reach refresh rate/2 with FG on, it stutters? What's causing that behavior? Another question (feel free to move it to another thread if its off-topic): Regarding...

Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering
After this update I have a smooth mouse but I have a bug after pc sleep my viper 8kHz only works 1kHz... and when I switch to 4kHz mouse only 500hz (wtf?) restarting the computer doesn't fix it and synapse, only usb reconnection fixes it. I don't use synapse, the whole process is closed, I switch p...

Re: Regarding Frame Generation
Always half generated/half native frames.
Otherwise it would be a jerky mess and would be pointless.
A source isn't required as it is common sense. If it were otherwise it would look absolutely horrible.

Re: CES 2023 New Samsung neo G9 8k 900hz
If this is true, it's huge! 900Hz monitor already available next year. That's incredible. Chief, if this is the case, it would be good to brief the reviewers on the behavior of stroboscopic stepping and flicker-less low motion blur before they make their reviews. Otherwise, this could go horribly wr...

Re: Decisions decisions 360 vs 500 as a g-sync gamer
360 hz vs 500 hz monitor Currently I play OW2 and I get between 400-450 fps on a 240 hz monitor. I have a powerful machine with a i9-11900k and a 3090. I do prefer g-sync on and that's where my question comes into play. If I buy a 360 hz monitor then I will only be in g-sync when the game suddenly ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Try a middle ground maybe like a cap at 300fps with VRR? When using VRR, you should not cap at max refresh rate, you should keep a margin. What to keep in mind: - VRR by itself doesn't add any perceptible input lag. But you have to make sure you are in the gsync range. That means under 390 + a safet...

Re: NVIDIA introduces DLSS3, interpolates frames, but is not v-sync compatible.
The quality of this forum really went downhill since last time I checked.
A huge milestone has been achieved with dlss3. Luddites are the last thing I would have expected here.
