Floaty mouse / accel with HT off?

Post by BlurWickd » 27 Nov 2023, 18:33

Hi, it seems like when I turn HT off I get a significant improvement in latency however in valorant it seems like my mouse is super floaty / seems like I even have accel / no control over it sometimes. I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue, does anyone know why this might be?

My processor is the i9 10980xe

Thanks!

For me floaty mouse disappears when I turn off MCE (multicore enhancement). This issue definitely comes from the CPU.

just type option name with your motherboards model in google and choose images tab, it will show you.

I can relate to this in some way. With HT off my mouse jitter is much more present than with HT on. Makes tracking a bit more difficult.
Probably has something to do with threads distribution or something.
