Straight to the point:
Always make sure that your CPU OC / RAM OC is stable before you proceed to OS installation. Otherwise you might corrupt your OS files in unknown ways, thus sabotaging your experience later on.
You might want to restore defaults in bios right before installing OS and then just revert changes / OC manually after.
Might be some basic stuff, but this could be overlooked by some folks that arent aware.

ye, while OCing million of things can go wrong and your steam library/browser settings/files can get corrupted/reset - get a seperate disk install with nothing on it to stress test your OC stability
