Hi guys,

I bought a Benq XL2720Z some days ago. I have three questions.

1. I was wondering if I have less imput lag with the boxed Dual Link DVI cable or a displayport cable? Additionally: Which cable would you recommand?
2. I normally play with v sync on, because I am sensible to tearing effects. How much negative effect has v sync on input lag?
3. Is it better to play at 144hz or 120hz regarding input lag? Afaik more frames mean less input lag.

if you can't notice the input lag from vsync (and at 144/120hz it is hard to notice), then you're not going to notice any change in input lag from cable choice or 144 vs 120hz.

to answer your questions, 1. AFAIK both are fine 2. usually two frames (14ms at 144hz, 17ms at 120hz). note that tearing is less noticeable at higher refresh rates and framerates 3. not a big deal. just use 144hz

i just went through the configuration of that monitor. blur all over, except with one setup: 1350er tweak; strobe utility on 2ms persistence and crosstalk slider to the leftmost. try it.
