FPS Capping League of Legends

Post by Aruzom » 17 Oct 2014, 06:05

Hi,
So I want to set a FPS cap for League of Legends because the highest you can set it to in game is 80 and if I leave it uncapped I get 400-500 FPS which is way too high. I've read some places that say setting an FPS cap can cause input lag, and others contradicting that. Currently I am using RivaTuner to set a cap of 140FPS, is this the most optimal way of doing it? My monitor is the Benq XL2420Z.

what's wrong with uncapped? i'm not familiar with league but i'm pretty sure that if you don't feel any changes in input lag, it doesn't matter.

When I get high FPS, around 400ish my character model seems to "jump" around when moving. It looks like a few frames are missing.
