Hey guys, im new to this community. I really have no knowledge when it comes to input lag. So I have tow questions.
1. What are the best NVidia Settings for the least input Lag?
2.(Important one) So I play 4:3 Stretched CS
2.1 GPU or Display Scaling, do both options add Input Lag?
2.2 I have a custom Resolution 1440x1080, does that add more input lag than lets say 1024x768?

No, all of those settings are pretty much identical.
+1 to Q83Ia7ta. Just use 1080p, playing 4:3 Stretched isn't going to make you good.

Nvidia drivers have been known to add several frames (no more than 4) but at least 2 of input lag when GPU scaling is enabled. This has been a complaint about Nvidia drivers and I don't use an Nvidia card so I don't know in which drivers it was fixed, if at all. One frame at 120 fps (120hz) is 8.3ms so that can be a problem. Display scaling all depends on the monitor scaler (Benq's don't add any for 1:1 or full screen (1 frame at most) but the screen emulation sizes -do- add input lag that can be noticed).spacencs wrote:Hey guys, im new to this community. Resolution differences below native are irrelevant. 1024x768, 1440x1080, 1280x960, all the same.
I can't tell a difference between GPU scaling on AMD cards or Display scaling. I don't think there's a problem in team red.

Use NVIDIA Inspector and then just disable all post-processive graphic effects, set power management to maximum performance, use single-display performance mode, set pre-render to 1 frame.
Display Scaling if available (monitor has internal scaling capabilities) and "No Scaling" for both Display or GPU-sided scaling mode. Set your game to run at your monitor's native resolution if you really are as fussy about input lag (that is if your monitor does the same refresh at its native resolution of course). Use your monitor's "game mode" if it should offer something like that.
That's about what you can do.
