Here is a nice experiment showing how lag would be unacceptable in real life. So why do most ppl think its ok to put up with in in game or while using any piece of technology . . .
Lag in real life?
Re: Lag in real life?
It would be a nice video if it wasn't just a commercial for a broadband carrier :-/

Yeah i know its a commercial but the idea behind it is the truth imo . . .
Re: Lag in real life?
If they used something between 50ms and 200ms, it would be true. I don't think that 3000ms delay in online games is actually a thing.SS4 wrote:Yeah i know its a commercial but the idea behind it is the truth imo . . .
They simply exaggerated it because it's a commercial. With 100ms, all of the stuff they're doing would be very doable.

Re: Lag in real life?
But they are focused on internet connectivity and in that case 3000 ms lag is very true for lots of ppl still. Well i don't wanna get into the whole ISP thing but yeah if they used lower latency it could be applied to gaming like you said. I just liked the idea and i didnt mean for anyone to take everything so literally in this video lol
Re: Lag in real life?
the human eye-to-brain pathway does lag though.
