Scenerio:
My game is capped at 60 FPS.
---60 Hz at this produces perfect "motion blur"
---122 hz (Dell P991 comfortable Max hz at 1024x 768) Is noticeably more responsive (less input lag *my keyboard action->on screen movement is quicker), but produces the double image effect.
Out of both, I prefer the 120/122 hz due to the response time in my game, it outweights the motion blur reduction of 60hz (not to mention eye strain reduction)
My question is, why does 60hz CRT have this input delay as well compared to 120/122hz CRTs if they are both analog signal? (which under my limited knowledge is low-no input lag regardless)
CRT input lag (60hz vs 122hz)
Re: CRT input lag (60hz vs 122hz)
With 60Hz your screen updates every ~16,667ms (1000/60) and with 120Hz your screen updates every ~8,333ms (1000/120).
At 120Hz new frame and new input (from keyboard or mouse) u get twice faster. That's in case of VSYNC OFF. If VSYNC ON that difference may be more than 8,333ms and depends on game.
