[FIXED] Blur Buster Strobe Utility always crashes on startup

I ordered my new xl2420z from new egg on December 8th and hoped that I could use this software. I am certain it is v2 firmware yet 100% of the time when I start it up, I get a window saying detecting monitors and then a message saying Blur Busters Strobe Calibrator has stopped working. No explanation as to why. Can someone help me out here? I am running a dual screen setup with a lg24m34 on win 8.1 64 bit if that matters.

Can you download the older version 1.1:
www.blurbusters.com/files/BlurBustersStrobeUtilitySetup_v11.msi

And see if this one works, or if that one crashes too?

This is the older version that's not compatible with G-Series (e.g. XL2420G)

Anyone else experiencing crashes with the newer version 1.2.0.7 of Blur Busters Strobe Utility on the Z-Series?

Yes I'm experiencing the exact same behavior with a XL2411z. Old version works like a charm.

- Can you tell me what your settings are, for Strobe Phase and Strobe Duty, in the service menu? I'm now wondering if it's unexpected factory defaults that are confusing Strobe Utility.
- Which version of Windows are you using?
- Which graphics drivers are you using?
- If there's text in the crash report (Details...) are you able to paste the information?

I am having this same problem with the latest version.

Just to add.. I also started having a problem using the 1350 trick.. It was working fine until I factory reset my monitor settings from the OSD menu. Any ideas? Please help! :)

I suspect that it is a resetting of Strobe duty and strobe phase to a different setting then what the monitor was shipped with.
What should my Strobe Duty Strobe Phase settings be in the service menu?
