Thanks for instructions.
Worked perfectly on my PC. MSI GTX 960 by DVI port. Was upgrading from V3.
Note: My bus was 0 - so don't forget to change it for the flashing process (tutorial omits that at the end)

Re: xl2411z to V4?[V4 download link & flash instructions]
Looks like the svn is down at flashrom; "Can't connect to host 'flashrom.org': Network is unreachable"
Any ideas on how to proceed? I wan't to go from V3 to V4 on my 2411z using the guide.
EDIT: MY BAD: this post fixes the issue: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=779&start=440#p24110
EDIT 2: Done! Works perfectly, had to use i2c bus 0 on my old laptop that has a VGA port attached to a Quadro NVS 320 and had to use the different flashrom url but it was done quite quickly then in the end up. Crazy how you can do stuff like this with Linux, I don't use it often myself. Saves us from having to get a hardware solution!

Hey guys,
Anyone have a copy of the first flash chip on the XL2411Z? I messed up taking a backup and dont have one. If anyone could take a dump of it and share it you would be doing me a solid.
Thank you
I need #1:
#1: Found Macronix flash chip "MX25L1605" (2048 kB, SPI) on mstarddc_spi.
#2: Found Macronix flash chip "MX25L1605A/MX25L1606E" (2048 kB, SPI) on mstarddc_spi.
