XL2411Z V4 colors and brightness are too messed up

Post by SenseiTOP » 13 Jan 2016, 12:48

Hi guys.
There is probably a thread about this, but I'm trying to set up my new monitor for 3 days straight and I've searched so much and changed the configurations so many times that I'm afraid I'm fucking this all up at this point. I got my monitor and tried to set it up to play CS:GO. It's on 120hz with Blur Reduction ON, and these 2 things are working fine. But the colors of my monitor are extremely bad, the brightness is too low and the viewing angle is almost like a regular laptop's screen (I have to move my head up and down to actually see everything clearly). I don't know if I should reset everything (if it's even possible) and try again or if I can fix this.
I hope someone can help me with this, because I'm really upset about such an expensive monitor.
Thanks in advance!

Yea, benq doesn't do the best job at colour accuracy.

Picture Mode: Standard
Contrast: 50
Gamma: 1
Color Temperature: User mode
RGB: 100, 100, 100
AMA: High

These are pretty basic settings for all Benq monitors and make sure you turn off all "Low blue light filters" and "Black equalizers" and everything will be pretty good. There are extra tricks to change the brightness in ULMB mode but i don't know too much about that.

Thanks man, this helped a lot. The colors are way better now! Btw, I use around 70% Color Vibrance for normal use and 100% for CSGO! :D

I created a color profile for the 2411z some time ago:
