tl;dr: Unlock the service menu and set the strobe phase to 000.

You are using a vertical total tweak. As per my VT thread I explained, this limits the maximum strobe phase allowed by a formula dependent on the refresh rate. I forgot the formula, you can check my thread.

http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2590

Everything is based on "60hz" as a guideline, thus the so-called "60hz pulse widths", at 100 maximum strobe phase.
Since 120hz is double 60hz, the maximum strobe phase is cut in half --050 (049.7 actually, 050 shuts the backlight off), compared to 100 at 60hz. strobe phase 049 will be equal to strobe duty 001.

Since 60 hz to 100hz is a 66.7% increase instead of a 100% increase, the maximum strobe phase is DECREASED by 40% instead of 50%, so for 100hz, it's 059 (060=black screen).

Please remember the differences between percent increase and percent decrease.

This ONLY applies if you are using a VT tweak as VT tweaks enforce "60hz strobe pulse widths" which is why the max strobe phase is reduced.

Without a VT tweak, the strobe pulse width is directly tied to the refresh rate instead of being locked to 0.167 ms.
