Forcing Apps using 120Hz VT Trick not 144Hz

Post by Nrt » 06 Jun 2016, 12:57

Hello, guys. Just bought XL2411Z yesterday, used 1350 VT Trick and configured monitor through service menu.
Then played CS:GO for sometime, and now wanted to go Doom and there I've met a problem. To get 120hz+ working with NVIDIA card for that g ame you should set "Highest Possible" refresh rate in Nvidia Control Panel, but if you do that, game will work at 144Hz, screen will be dark, blurry etc.

How to fix that? I can't change Hz using manual configuration of 1920x1080@144hz resolution to 120, because it says 143.000 minimum. So how can we override that "highest possible" for games that don't have that refresh rate options?

Use ToastyX Custom resolution Utility for creating custom resolutions and VT tweaks. I can't help you if you use the Nvidia drivers for creating custom resolutions. Then don't check "use highest available refresh rate" and it should use the desktop setting, unless a game has a cfg or ini setting for refresh rates.
You will need to read the CRU forums thread for the extension block usage as its different on an Nvidia card vs an AMD card.
