The video to the left seems to lag behind by one frame. It doesn't update the screen until the pixels have fully transitioned, while the video to the right seems to update faster, showing the "ghosty" not-yet-fully transitioned pixels.

At least that's what I get when I play the video back one frame at a time (with a media player that downloads the youtube video.)

Many sources in German

Some shops show ~720 EUR with taxes.
Better wait for amazon

Seems these monitors always hit the small Euro outlets first as they get air freighted in. I'd expect US stock within a couple of weeks.

Vega, would you be willing to flash your XL2730Z with a XL2735Z firmware, to see if in fact, the hardware is truly identical and the only changes are the firmware itself? After reading what you guys said and then reading this "preview" : http://www.hltv.org/news/18279-review-benq-zowie-xl2735 , it definitely looks like this "dynamic accuracy" is some trick with the blur reduction. And I for sure as hell want to know if it works at 100hz and lower (meaning did they actually FIX something finally?).

I have no idea if the Mstar ISP device can flash or even identify a realtek chip, but I'm rather sure this device can flash it
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-RT809F-USB- ... 1316521321
as it says REALTEK support in the description.

(it was on aliexpress before but it says it is no longer available).

There's some drivers here:
http://www.ifix.net.cn/forum.php?mod=vi ... a=page%3D1

What we really need is if someone can actually DUMP the raw firmware of this monitor (meaning they would probably have to have this unit to begin with) and if someone with an XL2730Z would be willing to flash the backup. Of course always make a backup so you can reflash it in case of a brick (I intentionally bricked a VG248QE by flashing an XL2720Z firmware into it then restored it with the backup I made), but that was with the mstar ISP device.

if people could upgrade their XL2730Z's to XL2735's like this, this could save a lot of people money...assuming the internal circuitry was left identical on both monitors.

I love toys and might wind up buying the ISP device, even if it turns out to not work, just to see how to use it. After all I still have the Mstar device to recover just in case, anyway.
Speaking of which, the Scalar in the Benq pre-XL-2730Z monitors is the Mstar 8556T, but the flash chip is "Macronix MX25L1606E, capacity: 16Mbits, 2Mbytes" (which Linux identifies in flashrom). The scalar in the XL2730Z is the Realtek 2796B, but no one has tried to dump the firmware with the mstar ISP device yet, as the flash chip could be macronix, realtek or whatever. I wonder if Bishi owns one...maybe I'll send him a PM.

Here's me playing with the software in "demo mode" since I don't own this device at all:

I don't have a 30Z anymore, was just going to buy a 35Z and test it/take it apart. I have my suspicions it's just a slightly tweaked 30Z firmware too.

Although it is confirmed to no longer have FastSync, so maybe there is more to it.

Do you have a way to dump the raw firmware from a XL2735Z ?

If you can dump it, I might be willing to actually buy an XL2730Z and try crossflashing it.
Oh masterotaku is going to love this....
