I know, but until I get proof and confirmation that the XL2735 can *single strobe* lower than 100hz (60hz please?), then...

So the new Zowie XL2430 is also exactly the same as the "old" XL2430T? What made me worry was that in the Zowie ads there is absolutely no mention of motion blur. I guess it's down to how they want to market it. But even the Specs don't mention blur, which is pretty strange I think: http://zowie.benq.com/en/product/monitor/xl/xl2430.html.
Edit: I downloaded the Zowie XL2430 user manual and there's certainly motion blur reduction. Seems to be the exact same monitor.

Btw, do you think a couple of Zowie XL2430 (or XL2430T) will go along nicely with an XL2411Z in triple config? Do you think there will be very noticeable differences in colors/brightness/contrast and stuff like that?

Edit again: :) Falkentyne, I read some of your posts on the XL2430(T) in other threads. As I understand it, the BBR on the 2430 is quite similar to my 2411? But in order to get strobing at 60Hz (and 1Hz steps adjustment) I have to go into the service menu and activate single strobing, is that correct? So if I do that, then I should also be able to use the VT 1350 trick like on my 2411?

Thanks

I can't say because the XL2430T has different settings, but it should be similar in standard mode if you don't touch the CV or black equalizer settings. I don't have these monitors so I don't know. Yes the single strobe setting works and the same VT tweaks work the exact same way, and I would use VT 1500, not 1350. 1350 isn't stable at 100hz either (100hz likes 1354, 120hz is ok with 1350 but I use 1500 for lower crosstalk).

But for VT 1500 you need driver patch, correct?

Btw I did the Eizo test (rather quickly really) and to my eyes the screen looks perfect. No dead pixels, no sub-pixel issues and no uniformity (if that's what it's called) issues. There might be some veeeery slight backlight bleed in the edges, but it could also be reflection from the two screens that stand on either side.

for 120hz yes, for 100hz, if you use front porch 48 pixels, 3 lines, and sync width 32 pixels 5 lines, and HT 2080, then no.
I'm on displayport so I don't use the patches anymore.

Note: porch 88,4 and sync 44,5 and HT 2200 is ONLY for 60hz refresh rate.

I have decided to keep the XL2720Z and get two more. Firstly because it is a glorious monitor, secondly because I want three of the same kind, and thirdly because the percentage wise area occupied by the bezels will be smaller on 27" monitors than on 24".

Hope you get good panels with no backlight bleed or dead pixels. Good luck!
