Please use service menu to make strobe changes. Besides, service menu is more powerful. You can use strobe adjustments with Single Strobe=OFF at 100hz+ refresh rate. Single Strobe On is only required for refresh rates lower than 98 hz. You can also use Strobe Phase =100 if you are *NOT* using Vertical Total tweaks. If you are using VT tweaks, maximum strobe phase will be limited to 100 (60hz), 59 (100hz), 49 (120hz), 46 (125hz), 70 (85hz, VT 1501 only).
Falkentyne, thanks for all your input. I have my Zowie XL2411 hooked up to my Xbox One. I mostly play Halo5 (60fps) on it. If I want to achieve the closest thing to what the blurbuster utility does for clearing the image on it what settings for strobe duty and phase would you recommend? I've set it to single strobe which already looks better. Phase defaults to 100 and Duty defaults to 20. Lowering duty seems to lower the backlight and I can't exactly tell what lowering the phase does.

If you're playing on a console with 60hz output, turn on SINGLE STROBE in the service menu and set strobe phase to 100. This will give you up to 1 frame (<16.7ms) lower input lag than strobe phase 000. But there will be a bit more strobe crosstalk at the very bottom of the screen (where the input lag is highest, the beginning of the "next" frame will be).

At 60 hz, the strobe duty is the persistence. strobe duty 006 is 1.0ms persistence (0.167 x 6). Strobe duty 009 is 1.5ms persistence (.167 x 9). use values between 6 and 9.

If you're using a VT Tweak (VT 1350, 1500, 1502 etc) on a PC, you must lower the strobe phase below 60 or 50, with blur reduction off, or the backlight might shut off.

Awesome help, much appreciated. So I've set single strobe to ON, duty to 009, and persistance to 100. Looks great so far although a little dark but I'll manage. Should I have the blur setting on the monitor's OSD set to on or off with these settings?

You mean strobe phase (crosstalk position), not persistence.

These settings are only for blur reduction on. They mean absolutely nothing if MBR is off.
