XL2720Z V5 firmware - where to get it?

Post by Paul » 10 Nov 2016, 13:36

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my XL2720Z from V3 firmware to V5. I have everything, except I cannot bloody find where I can download the V5 firmware. Can anyone share that file with me please? Thank you.

Edit: I managed to find it. I'll leave the link here in case someone in the future has trouble finding the firmware files:

(Went into service mode and it says now V005-20141205, yay!)

Edit2: I'll add a mega link as well. This includes firmwares for other Benq monitors: XL2720Z, XL2411Z, XL2420Z, XL2430T.

God bless you for sharing that.
Can I ask where did you get hold of those firmware files?

Do the newer v5 monitors offer a better blur reduction than the older models? Is the crosstalk at the bottom and top still apparent?

Crosstalk is exactly the same. VT tweaks work exactly the same. Crosstalk is a function of the Strobe Phase and the current Vertical Total blanking interval.

V2 ->V3: Some Presets fixed, low blue light is saved and recalled when programming standard mode into a S-switch preset. Single Strobe=Off in the service menu no longer causes abnormal behavior at 100hz-144hz. AMA low added when setting AMA to high after enabling blur reduction (previously with V2, when setting AMA to high after enabling blur reduction, the AMA gets even more excessive than Premium, which was useless).

V3->V4: Displayport link issues fixed (critical).

V4-V5: unknown
