Z series on Newegg - v2?

Post by SUOrange55 » 16 May 2014, 10:48

Looking to order the 2720Z, does anyone know if the current stock on Newegg is indeed v2?

FYI Newegg customer service wasn't able to confirm whether the monitor is v1 or v2. They do not track revisions apparently.

Really wanting to pull the trigger on this - has anyone recently ordered any Z series monitors from Newegg??

I think NewEgg is now shipping V2, but I have heard mixed reports.
A NewEgg customer review for the XL2411Z mentions it is a Version 2 firmware.

It is up to you, but if you wish, you can also support the operation of Blur Busters by ordering with V2-preinstalled through these links:
BENQ XL2411Z on Amazon or BENQ.com
BENQ XL2420Z on Amazon or BENQ.com
BENQ XL2720Z on Amazon or BENQ.com
(Coupon GAMER$20 reduces the BENQ.com price by twenty dollars.)

Unfortunately I had a lot of store credit at Newegg I needed to use before it expired.

I ordered the monitor yesterday and will report on the version once I receive it early this coming week.

Fingers crossed.

Please let all of us know if it's indeed V2 firmware as I think it is.

It's nice to get more NewEgg confirmations. Know a lot love NewEgg and want to make sure that store is safe, too!

I should have the monitor later this evening. What's the easiest way to check if it's v2, try to install the blur busters strobe utility?

Thanks

I ordered mine from Newegg on 4/22. Unfortunately I received v1. Spent the money for the MStar ISP and upgraded it to v2 myself. I cannot speak for the version that might be shipping currently.

The new NewEgg customer review says V2, so they may have changed over very recently.
You will want to wait until you receive your monitor first, to verify it's V2.
