Any word on that?
Ofcourse it wont. F/A/Gsync or any other variable refresh rate needs a flicker free monitor. And strobing/lightboost/ulmb is by its nature flicker and requires a static refresh rate.

There are proposals how to combine them, but you can be sure that you will see refreshrate and resolution become obsolete before anyone actually combines these.

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ reports it's:

"2560 x 1440 resolution, 1 ms G2G response time, 144 Hz refresh rate, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness and 170/160 viewing angles. The screen offers a true 8-bit colour depth and the W-LED backlighting provides a standard sRGB gamut"

So I assume it's TN.

Ah ok, didn't know if Gsync was the limiting factor or something else.

Is it possible to use FreeSync with my Nvidia Card? The GTX 780Ti?
I was hoping for the XL2720G, but since BenQ is not going to release it I have to look for an alternative.

1440p, IPS, Blur Reduction 2.0... This seems like the monitor to buy, but where is the GSync model of this?

Also Benq should really stop announcing products if they take nearly one year to release or not release something.

Ok, so:

- Freesync is the option in AMD drivers that support a adaptive sync monitor.
- Adaptive sync is 100% free and ANYONE can use it. It replaces current monitor scalar, so there is no additional cost.
- Nvidia said they will be stubborn and refuse to support adaptive sync on their end with drivers.
- If intel decides to support adaptive sync for their integrated graphics it will put pressure on nvidia and nvidia will then have to support adaptive sync too.
(In that world. The monitor is a adaptive sync monitor. Each company has a different name for their driver option for it. AMDs is called Freesync, Nvidias will be called Sync-G, intels will be I-sync.)

But even after all that your 780ti will not be able to support adaptive sync because it has displayport 1.2. And adaptive sync requires the updated displayport 1.2a.

Think anyone can guess a price range on it?

Edit: Well... I was excited for the monitor, but it specifies DisplayPort 1.2. What takes so long to make models with 1.2a?
