All i can say with some certainty is that the freesync version will cost 200$ less than the gsync one.

Unless nvidia manages to use the gsync module to combine variable refresh and lightboost, i dont really see it surviving past 2015.
See, GSync works on DisplayPort 1.2, whereas FreeSync wont, so I think all the 600 and 700 series guys are going to be on GSync for awhile.

As for the monitor cost, the Dell 34" IPS 21:9 is about $1,400 and thats with 60hz and no gsync. (But it is an IPS.)

Please elaborate. I do not understand single strobe vs multiple strobe.

really hope this gets ULMB too, just like that other 16:9 144hz acer IPS which is first with ULMB

while not usable at the same time as gsync, having this feature on a huge 21:9 144hz IPS... well, that would certainly be something to play around with for older games

I don't think I really understand it either . But I know you do not want double strobe because it doesn't really solve motion blur, it's rather pointless.

Wait, this is a 34" IPS? I thought it was just a TN.

Its the new IPS variant... AHVA or whatever. That new one which is capable of proper 144hz. And apparently also capable of strobing, according to one of newly anounced 16:9s from acer. Thats why i really hope this widescreen gets ULMB too... then you really cant ask for anything better before OLED is dirt cheap, imo.
And the VA in AHVA is not "vertical alignment", so its not VA either.

Really hard for me to believe they would put TN on this.

But ok, ill agree that there is a small chance as its not said to be IPS.

But most importantly ill do the hardest thing of all - ill just say that i dont know. And neither does anyone else... it might as well be OLED.
