Yep, Acer is turning into the leader slowly. (And Asus are turning into whiny bitches)

Although, i would wait for the IPS version.

One step closer to 3840x2160@120+Hz. And for the love of [insert favourite deity here], give us ULMB at low refresh rates. That high resolution is lost in movement!

50 to 100 (or 120-144 depending on panel speed) hz ULMB in 1 hz increments or bust.

I mean Benq did it...

Sensitive people dont want to see ANY flicker AT ALL.. at ANY refresh rate. I`m one of them.

Normal people dont mind it if the refresh is high enough. Thats why you never see ULMB below 85hz or 100hz sometimes.

Its a minority actually who have a skull so thick they wouldnt mind the flicker @ 30hz.

Then turn off the ULMB.

Edmond you're getting very close to a ban with the persistent flaming. Keep the name calling to a minimum. If you don't like flicker then don't use it. Some of us grew up with 50-60hz flickering TV's and didn't bat an eye.

Okok, im sorry. I dont know why my dick is so small.

Still hate flicker tho. Black frame insertion or ULMB i actually dont mind. Its the flicker of low quality screens that has no benefits even, that i cant stand.

60hz flicker is not a problem when you are used to it.
Shit, when you are used to and can deal with 480i flicker, everything else is a piece of cake.

It's like flyback 15khz whine with just about every CRT. You get used to it.

I use a CRT regularly for old consoles and aside from my consumer set having some issues(Frequent magnetization, blooming, trails on fast Dark to Light/Light to Dark transitions), 60hz motion is amazingly smooth and nearly perfect.

30hz flickering on the other hand WOULD be unusable

I'd kill for a sub 90hz 4k ULMB monitor.

Plus there is always the part where it's adjustable. Use a lower level. Still get some blur reduction.
