Just saw this: ASUS PG258Q (24.5″ FHD, 240Hz TN) & ASUS PG248Q (24″ FHD, 180Hz TN)

ASUS PG258Q:
Since it's 24.5" seems like we got new LCD panel model is on market. I hope other brands like BenQ, Acer, etc will use this panel soon like it was with AUO M240HW01 V8 that is inside every 24" TN 144Hz monitor.

It'd be awesome if ULMB could be upgraded to up to 240Hz too...

240Hz in normal mode is nice to have but is not a required upgrade for me.

Someone tell Nvidia to add specs/requirements for higher ULMB Hz!!
I'm sure the hardcore/competitive FPS players will agree.

That's more a function of pixel transition time. A likely consequence of 240hz LCD is there isn't any particular instant where all of the pixels are fully transitioned to the correct value, so there isn't a window in which you can pulse the backlight without ghosting. It might be possible if you split the backlight into several/many rows, but it would likely be very hard to match brightness at the edges of those rows.

Also Acer XB251Q is based on same panel and also has native 240Hz.

Full HD panels with 240Hz refresh rate - two gaming panels are in production offering 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution and a massive 240Hz refresh rate. They are available in 25" and 27" sizes and are TN Film technology. The 25" panel (M250HTN01.2) should be in production during June and the 27" (M270HTN02.3) will follow in August. The 25" sector is a new venture for AUO as well, as they've not produced panels in this size before. The 25" panel could well be the panel featured in the recently announced Asus ROG Swift PG258Q which was showcased at Computex. It remains to be confirmed, but that was advertised as having a 240Hz refresh rate and so the spec fits.

Without an OLED display, it would be impossible to have any current IPS or TN panel strobe at a true 240hz (strobe every 4.16ms), without strobe crosstalk covering *half* the screen. And unlike double strobing at low refresh rates (like 60hz double strobe or even 120hz with a long+short pulse like the Foris FS2421 did) which would break the crosstalk bands into something like half size and half height (hard to explain, but if you have ever used 60hz Lightboost via a 1155 VT-1080 VT (depending on panel) to see double strobing, or Benq blur reduction with Single Strobe disabled at 60hz, you know what I mean), you would never use it.

The problem is, no panel besides CRT or OLED can even come close to completing pixel transitions (as mentioned above) in 4.16ms. Thus you wind up getting the next frame's frame data mixed into the current frame with pixels still in transition, which is pretty much what Crosstalk is. And increasing overdrive to absurd levels does not help.
Why do you think there is no 144hz or 165hz ULMB right now?

I agree with Falk. With LCD's, the pixel transitions are so slow that once you get above the 100-120 Hz range the diminishing returns kick in hard. LCD's just transition too slowly. Now 240 Hz on a virtual instant pixel change display like OLED would look unbelievable.
