Yeah, ram disks don't seem very useful. You can spend time loading the entire game to the ram disk before you start playing so you don't have as long of initial loads during game, but meh. It doesn't seem worth the effort when SSDs are already so fast.RealNC wrote:Yeah, RAM disks are not really that useful actually. Pretty much everything in any game is only accessed once from disk. After that, there's no disk I/O happening; everything comes from the Windows cache that's in RAM.
