So freaking cool! Going to be tough to choose between this and a G-SYNC monitor!

These huge numbers of extra pixels would be great for those people looking for extra resolution, colors and static sharpness:

Pros
+ IPS
+ Color
+ Resolution

Minuses
- No 120Hz
- No LightBoost or strobing
- No GSYNC or similar VRR tech

The Ho Hum: In other words, great for resolution/color nuts, but not good for motion clarity nuts like me.
We love to see more of these "interesting" displays hit the market, especially for movies, productivity, and less motion-critical games, but we can't neglect motion clarity solutions of the future. For motion clarity, it is immediately apparent this display has zero REAL motion-enhancement technology. Zip, nada, zilch. If you enjoy colors/extra pixels in your games, this is probably a great display, but if you ever were bothered by motion blur, stutters, tearing, this isn't your display. This will probably, however, produce an impressive experience in certain games that are not motion critical.

The Wow: That said, this could be one big kickass Photoshop display. Or 1080p video editing, getting native resolution but with all the sidebars and goodies. A real productivity display for width-lovers who hate the 1080p pancake. Even mobile development with plenty of development panes & room for a full-height Simulator to the side (iPhone, Android, etc). Monster spreadsheets. Power web development with real time auto-refreshed results in a full-sized web browser window alongside (or two browsers!). You name it. All one one monitor. This would not be my game display, but my development display. A single 4K display could play the role too, though extra width is sometimes better than a display that's too tall for your desk, and smaller 4K has too much DPI for some people with their preferred/legacy software. So this could be a middle interim ground.

Large 21:9/2.35:1 displays are great for scope movies, and that's where 4K res is guaranteed to pay off, but would be terrible to use as an everyday display for typical 16:9 video content. Maybe as a video wall TV. As a convergence device is where it would shine, as when not displaying scope movies it can be used to show native, custom res content from a computer. Especially if these are curved displays (and flexible too!) they can replace the typical surround display system, and without the window panes.

Also, don't really get those people on the internet hating on the curved displays. Have they never seen a surround display system? Of course there's a huge market for curved displays.
