Thanks to this website I have my 32 inch Samsung F6300 running at 1080p/120hz through hdmi. Using a radeon r9 280x also have the t.v. set to PC Mode. I see no motion blur what so ever on this setup which is crazy! Also no input lag that I can speak of... I returned a $400 LG monitor last week that performed like ass in games compared to this t.v.

You guys have to check this t.v. out its a diamond in the rough!

I have a Samsung F6300 still in the box that arrived a couple days ago. Yes 1080p120 is possible with HDMI 1.3 and above (since June 2006). It's just very few sets have supported this input rate is all. The way I look at it, it's a freaking miracle TV manufacturers are finally starting to pay attention to people on the internet who play video games that care about blur perception and latency and framerates because they could have been making displays to take in 1080p120 a LONG time ago with backlight strobes if they would just do a Google search and have a little ambition for how to make a display to push the HDMI spec a little more and think more than just frame insertion for smoother movie playback that nobody really wants anyway.

Okay, maybe that's a little opinionated, but hey!

I had a UN55C7000 from a few years ago that wouldn't take even a 61hz signal without massive blurring. That and after a pixel issue was "repaired" by replacing the panel, it had major backlighting issues with spotlighting and clouding. I'm glad to see that Samsung has improved the UN product line. +100hz is amazing on a TV. I'm curious though, are the 6000 series in that line the only ones that will take 120hz input? Before the pixel issue & panel replacement, I thought the 7000 series looked absolutely fantastic in 2D. Especially Inception, the PQ was remarkable. If the UN40F6300 or the UN46F6300 took 120hz I'd consider grabbing one to use as a desk monitor. Has anyone confirmed those yet?

I have not confirmed myself that the F6300 sammy will take a 120Hz signal. Maybe the other poster can point us to a page where others are talking of driving the 6300 at 120hz. I have not yet seen a samsung be driven over 60hz myself, but I love the 40" Samsung displays even at 60hz for non-gaming use (television and web browsing, image editing, programming etc). I like big gigantic pixels when I am doing detailed creative work and want to see details of pixel data more easily. I've been using Sammy 5000 series from 2010 for a couple years with only 1.2" depth at 60hz and very happy with color, clarity, and can be adjusted for a very clean picture. Only some "clouding" with the backlight that should be expected on such a thin edge-lit display on my 5000 series.

There's no limit against HDMI doing 120Hz.
See HDTV Refresh Rate HOWTO: True 120Hz from PC to TV
However, most TV's and monitors just don't accept 120Hz over HDMI. However, HDMI 1.3 already has the bandwidth to let 1080p@120Hz through.

If any readers here would like to test this out, follow these instructions to test 120Hz with your HDTV, and let us know if it works. Don't forget to do the TestUFO frame skipping test at http://www.testufo.com/frameskipping too, to verify!

NOTE: If you followup, a separate thread would be cool; separating the fun "120Hz talk" from the fun "show me your displays" stuff. Suggested topic "Successfully overclocking my HDTV to true 120Hz" or something similiar -- it will catch more attention

My Asus VG248QE is in the top center. The 120hz ViewSonic V3D245 in the upper right was my primary screen before that. The far right is a ViewSonic VX922 from 2005. It was the world's first 2 ms LCD and my first LCD. I still use it today :) I had to replace a couple capacitors that went bad in it last year but otherwise it is working just as well when I first got it. The others are all ViewSonics; VP2250wb, VX2233wm, VX2439, and VX2453. Every time I have upgraded to a better model I have just shifted the old monitors over as secondary displays. I have been lucky and haven't had a single bad pixel yet.

sharknice, are those gaming screenshots, or are you just a hardcore gamer that plays 6 games at once?

Yeah I just put a bunch of screenshots and videos of games I like on every screen to make the photo cooler, I typically only play one game at a time :)
