XL2720Z vs XL2720G

Post by ameanl » 15 Jan 2014, 17:03

I'm dying to find out what your (amature and expert) thoughts are on this decision.
Should I wait it out or go for the "right now."
I am assuming the G will be available late Feb, to mid March.
Tell me everything you all know. Tech and opinions welcome.
"Feed me Seymour!"
Thanks in advance.

The G has G-Sync, the Z doesn't. Is there really anything else that has to be said? :-) I can't see a reason why someone would not want G-Sync. The XL2720G looks like it will be my next monitor. My old (but trusty) Samsung XL2370 has to hold on for a while yet.

The big question is the difference between ULMB strobing and BENQ Blur Reduction strobing. There are pros and cons of their different strobing approaches, and I hope that ULMB can adopt some of the new flexibility found in BENQ Blur Reduction (in the new firmware), such as user-adjustable persistence.

Thanks for the input. I just needed some affirmation, to hold on a little longer. Like the mirage in a desert that keeps the desolate going.
