Monitor 'Out of Range'? Need some technical support, don't k

Post by Knovocaine » 08 Apr 2015, 22:49

Just looking for a solution. My monitor is an ASUS VS238 via HDMI.

I'll be playing in a game for about 5 minutes, then my screen goes black and a message pops up saying 'Out of Range' on my monitor. It seems to have began after I updated my graphics drivers, but I have since rolled them back and am still experiencing the problem. I also fiddeled with the cs:go configs for theatre mode before the problem arose, but I have since deleted them all and redownloaded them via verifying game cache on steam. I literally cannot play and I am sadpanda.

Fixes I've tried:

Rollback driver
Reinstall cs:go
Reduce screen resolution
Update monitor drivers (Generic PnP drivers, no other found)
Change monitor refresh rate
Run in windowed mode and borderless window
Turn off anti-aliasing
Delete configs and verify via steam
Use DVI
Uninstalled nVidia bloatware

I'm sure I am forgetting a couple of things I've tried but I'll add them if I remember them.

Specs:

i5-4670K @ 3.4GHz
8.00 GB RAM
nVidia GTX 770
Windows 8.1 64-bit
