My fresh Asus PG248Q 180Hz experience

Hello! I bought Asus PG248Q two days ago and I wanna share some my experience with this monitor.
This monitor compared with other 144+ Hz TNs I saw has good overdrive at 180Hz. Good (if not best) overdrive is by G-sync. There are 3 overdrive settings. OFF/ Normal / Extreme iirc.
I can't say how good colors are but default settings are definitely better than XL2411T, XL2411Z,XL2430T by BenQ I used.
Looks like panel is new and same as in ASUS MG248Q - AUO M240Q007 V0. By ASUS MG248Q review I can't see any improvements over default panel of almost all 24" TN 144Hz monitors - AUO M240HW01 V8. May be I'm wrong.

180Hz isn't perfect as I expected. Some moire appears at 180Hz. Looks like small thin transparent horizontal lines every ~10 pixels that move slowly all over the screen. It's playable but bothers me. Never had them at ZIS DVI board (with AUO M240HW01 V8) at 220Hz.
144Hz is ok. I've talked with other PG248Q owner from other country and he has same moire. So it's not a defective panel/monitor. I'm looking how it can be fixed. Free to suggest.

I haven't tried G-Sync, ULMB, 160Hz & 170Hz yet.

I can't recommend it for upgrade of current 144Hz panel for regular players because 180Hz isn't great with this moire and PG258Q (native 240Hz on new 25" TN panel) coming in 2-6 months.

yea, funky shit seems to happen when you push a panel past 120~

I have one of the ZIZ boards and although 250hz is freaking amazing, the panel kinda lets it down.

I really can't wait for the Native panel to come out

It's more like waves than lines. They are different from scanline-like lines that can appear and disappear on 144Hz monitors. On 170Hz all is ok.

Added at first post imgur album how 180Hz artifacts looks like. Far from perfect photos. But they more noticeable at dark color and clearly visible at games :/

Oh I understand that type of pattern now! Slow moving alternating lines. Reminds me of some sort of electrical interference or some sort of something reasonating with something else (you know what I mean).

I got that same pattern on my BenQ XL2411Z with some custom resolutions. Changing the Vertical Total a bit fixed it.

But I don't think you can create a custom 180Hz resolution. My Dell S2716DG doesn't like custom refresh rates or timings, for example.

I can +/- 1Hz or +/-2 VT. But no changes.

Btw I also had that signal lost several that described at pcmonitors review. For me it was not just signal lost. PC just hangs - Num Lock LED stops react on toggle May be driver update will fix it. This "signal lost" happens only sometimes if I change refresh rate at OS.

Did you find how to fix your problem at 180 hz?
I'm still on a 144hz monitor but if this 180 hz screen have still some problem, i prefer to stay on my 144.
