BenQ XL2430T won't fully turn off after shutdown

Post by GioXmen » 21 Aug 2016, 16:23

Hello,

I am having an issue where the monitor is still kind of lit up after shutdown, is this a hardware issue or is it fixable?

Known fault with newer versions of this monitor. Initial batches did not have this problem (but had some really awesome firmware bugs like completely broken Black Equalizer). A fix was made but it must be RMA'd to Benq.

This issue doesn't seem to affect the Z series versions of this monitor.

Ok, I guess I am going to send this out for warranty repair before my 2 year period expires, thank you!

I got the same thing too, noticed it a few weeks ago.

Kind of sucks, but I really don't want to go through the RMA process of returning and waiting.

Does anybody know if this does any short term or long term harm to the monitor? And if it's sucking a lot of power when left like this overnight?

Thanks

EDIT: Got monitor back after RMA, repaired. Problem seems to be fixed.
