Any XL2730Z users with a Mstar ISP programming device or who have the old Linux Ubuntu flashrom drives still?
Can someone try to see if Ubuntu can identify the flash chip in a XL2730Z, or if the Mstar ISP device can detect or read the flash chip? (the software is still on the blurbusters main site under DIY Upgrade V2).
The mstar ISP device: http://www.yoycart.com/Product/52781882 ... ment_tool/
VGA or DVI port will work.
Basically follow the good old instructions on page 21 here:
http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic ... &start=200
Stop at this command and see if you get an error.
sudo ./flashrom -p mstarddc_spi:dev=/dev/i2c-1:49 <----# identify flash chip, on bus 1 (/dev/i2c-1) at address 0x49. Change the 1 to a 0 if you are on bus 0.
XL2730Z users : Can you test something for me please?
