That's pretty much a Counter-Strike monitor.

Worth the money for just one game?

Wondering what voodoo black magic panel can do 240hz or is this some backlight trickery?

240hz probably isn't guaranteed. I believe Asus (MAYBE ACER) has a corresponding model that can also do 240hz that is out or coming out. Probably the exact same TN panel. Expect scanlines and possibly washed out gamma however!

Buying 240Hz monitor to get isn't guaranteed refresh rate? ) Monitor isn't guaranteed to power on? Isn't guaranteed to work on panel native refresh rate? Try read. Name of the monitor says it's not 24". AOC, Asus, Acer will bring monitors on same panel. Is their 240Hz also not guaranteed?

So it's for sure - native 240Hz? Can't believe it until real life tests :|

I know it's pretty weird but i play all my games at the lowest settings so i can get a consistently high framerate. I value framerate so much more higher then graphics.

I'm not too sure why you think 240hz isn't guaranteed. The panels can handle it, we have the bandwidth, unless you don't think Benq can make a chip that can handle it i'm quite confused. The Acer Predator XB251HQT and the ASUS ROG PG258Q are both going to use G-Sync and that chip can definitely handle it since they are making 4k 75hz monitors soon.

Isn't the gamma and scanlines a side effect of pushing past native refreshrates of a panel? they are making native panels now, you would think they can handle it?

Just got this monitor in at work. Been doing hardware reviews for them lately and having lurked here for a few years thought I'd show a quick comparison to 144hz:

Image

Anybody have any questions about it? I'll do my best to answer. Keep in mind I've got no colour calibration or latency testing equipment for hard numbers but I have the old XL2420G to compare to.

My full first impressions are here: http://www.respawn.ninja/2016/11/benq-z ... 0-preview/

Full review to come with a comparison to the XL2420G and XL2735 (Dynamic Accuracy) model.
