I don't understand "too shiny"

When you say "too shiny" you are describing a mirror (e.g. display glass too reflective).
Mirror reflection cannot be adjusted by picture controls.

(It is possible you are trying to translate to English. Can you try using a different English-language word?)

EDIT: Firmware downloads appear to be made available by a user on OneDrive.

You probably need to post on a CS forum if you want settings for CS. Many of us here just want to use these monitors and are not pro or obsessive gamers that need every visual advantage for CS.

That being said:
1) do NOT use the S-switch on XL2430T. Profiles linked to the S-switch (Gamer 1, Gamer 2, Gamer 3) are bugged (benq "claimed" this was intentional--I don't believe them) and hardwired to LOW LEVEL COLOR CALIBRATIONS for FPS1, FPS2 and RTS game mode, even if you SAVE ANOTHER MODE (example: Standard mode) and overwrite it. If you want the S-switch to save and recall low level color calibrations, please use the XL2420Z or XL2720Z. These monitors properly save the full current mode (including low level colors) into Gamer 1/2/3.

One person on reddit has already RMA'd this monitor this week, after I told him about the S-switch bug, and he tested it on his Zowie XL2430T. Sure enough he saved STANDARD MODE into GAMER 1, recalled gamer 1 with S-switch button 1, and the colors came back wrong (because it used FPS1 low level calibrations, not Standard mode).

2) Use Standard Mode. RGB Custom: 100, 100, 92, Sharpness 5, Gamma 3, Color Vibrance=10, Black Equalizer Off (or 0, I don't know what off is on the XL2430T). Brightness=40, Contrast=50. Blur reduction off.

These settings should be ok. I can NOT help with specific settings for CS. People keep adding me begging me for CS help. I don't play CS. I don't care about CS. You can change the settings from there to whatever looks better for you.

What firmware version do you have? V002 or something?
Is your monitor Benq or Zowie branded?

Hello,
You posted two threads, I've merged your two threads into one here.

If things are way too bright / "bleached looking":

1. Switch your monitor to Standard instead of FPS1.
2. Adjust gamma in your game menu.

Try Falkentyne's suggestion too, since there's an S-Switch bug in some older firmwares.
