TestUFO stuck at 144Hz instead of 60Hz?
You might be still running 144Hz refresh rate.

Check your refresh rate isn't still 144Hz:

Also, not all display inputs supports 240Hz. Make sure you're using the correct cable, too.

Even not all videocards that have displayport supports 240Hz. GTX 580 can't, GTX 950 can do 240Hz.

Actually, all inputs the BenQ XL2540 has (DP, HDMI, DVI-DL) support 240Hz, but the operating system might not, in which case Toasty's tools help (if the graphics card is up to it). I can only speak for F/W version V2 though. I use this monitor successfully with a pretty old graphics card (AMD Radeon R7 250X which is basically a HD7750) and an even older driver (Catalyst 13.1) via DVI-DL. BTW, I remember having had some problems with DisplayPort in the beginning (AMD Radeon RX460, latest drivers), which seemed be less reliable in detecting that the monitor can go 240Hz (and doesn't have FreeSync, etc.). But this is not so unusual in my experience - whenever I have problems with the video interface, it is always with DisplayPort.

Pretty sure he was referring to the cables being used and not the ports being used.. i.e hdmi 1.4 as opposed to 2.0

Interesting though, im using the supplied displayport cable.. (no option for 240hz only 144hz) might will pickup a hdmi 2.0 cable tomorrow if I can't get it working tonight and see how I get on..

managed to get mine working @ 240hz using display port and is also shows 240fps on the ufo test.. however every now and then the setting keeps reverting back to 144hz.. still going to pickup a hdmi 2.0 tomorrow to see if its more stable..
